A Month in ME

So it's been TIME people... really really really ridiculously tooo long...! There's been jet-set weekends abroad aplenty, pumpkins, pirates & giant hello kitty's! (RANDOM yes but this is the world of me that we are talking about so really it makes total sense!).

So first up Hello Kitty... basically i was bored so i ended up buying a giant plush Hello Kitty. She epitomises the essence of SUPAH-KUWAIII & i snuggle with her every night.

EGO

Since about a month ago every wednesday night is EGO night. EGO's a cute lil' club near Madrid's rather swish Velazquez. The music's awesome with the dj dropping the perfect blend of old skool n brand new jams. Us Carlos III kids (the people who go to my uni here with me), love it & u'll find us ballin' there in true baller styleeee on a wednesday night near you!!!! If you live in Madrid come on down & party with us. And if you don't, get urself a cheap-ass plane ticket & come party with us!!!! :) you know you want to!

Random snaps from our Ego wednesdays:

HAPPY HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN FACES!!!! :)

Who knew halloween would be so big in Madrid of all places? Well we certainly brought it this year. We had a party with RED CUPS, (courtesy of our american friends... THANKIES BRITTANY cos you totally made our day!!!!)...

& then we took over the city, EVERYONE was dressed up in crazy-ass outfits... My personal fave's were the Real Madrid girls, the Frenchies & the Pirates.

We partied all night long at Village, not the nicest club but certainly has the BEST music!!!! I haven't heard such amaaaaazing hip-hop in a hell of a long time, (goodness knows what ima do when i go back to London... as if they're STILL playing Beyonce-Crazy in Love & JT-Signs... Ewwwwwww!).

Trick or treat...

Obrigada Portugal!!!! Oct 26th-29th

In my opinion Portugal is the most underrated & stunning place in the world EVER! I'm not going to lie to you... i never actually wanted to go there. I was brought up in England and from the age of 4 when i had my first summer holiday in Spain's Costa del Sol i thought it was all about Spain, (well the south of Spain rather...). After discovering Puerto Banus & Marbella and spending every summer of your life there having a total ball you'd never think "oh i know, lets go a holidaying next door in jolly ol' Portugal this year". Well lucky for me my closest & funn-est UCSB & UCLA uni friends were all going on a weekend Portugal trip so i thought, hey why not, let's just book a cheap flight & go along for the ride.... All i have to say is, best decision of my life ever.

PORTUGAL IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! IT's STUNNING!!!!!! The weather is immense... i'm talkin about getting a hardcore tan after just one day of beaching it in OCTOBER people!!!!!

The people are oh so friendly & kind, not to mention HAWWWWWWT! ;) hahaha....! And the food is DELISH!!! In my opinion it's Europe's answer to Brazil and i am already planning my next trip there. We stayed in Estoril, 20mins away from Lisbon. It has everything you could ever want and luckily it's kept it's identity & hasn't been ruined (yet) by mass-holiday apartment construction. Everywhere you look there is untouched beauty without a single apartment block eyesore to get in the way.

Sintra's a beautiful little town that we visited for our cultural enrichment. It has THE coolest & most colourful castle:

Lisbon oozes historic beauty & culture & they even have their very own trafalgar square!

The little streets are so precious & they have trams that run along the streets just to give it that extra little bit of European flair!

Kodak Moments:

My fave statue was this dude... WHAT A TOTAL G is all i have to say... look at him representin'... Brap brap rat a tat tat... lol!

We had such an amazing time we were so sad to leave...!

London Babies! Oct 19th-22nd

Despite all the fun times i must admit that the pangs of homesickness certainly do hit me every so often so you can imagine my joy & exictement at being able to spend a weekend back home in glorious Hertfordshire/London with my favest people in the world everrrr!!!! my family & closest friends :) YAY!!!

A lot of Persian Tea was drunk, a lot of Persian food was eaten & a lot of Persian was spoken!!! Hahaha.... and it was just what i needed!!! :) It's funny because when you're away from home you begin to miss the silliest little things that you never even thought were that amazing. In my case this boiled down to Marks & Spencer's food, Pret A Manger and Brent Cross Shopping Centre!!!! LOL! silly i know... One of my best friends Omid actually went so far as to ask me, "you're in MADRID & you miss Brent Cross!??!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!" He thought i was crazy yet i couldn't see the reasoning behind this & continued to miss the Brent Cross, (i have childhood memories of my mum dragging me around that shopping centre ok, and there was the fountain with the coloured lights at the top & you'd all sit around & eat ur M&S sandwhiches!!!!). Lol.... ok, ok, trip down memory lane over.

So i ended up going shopping all day Saturday in beloved Brent Cross and then had a friend's birthday do at Mash later that evening.

I finished the night at Isis with Layla, Maani & Omid. It was perfect! :) i love you all so much & miss you crazy ways!!! x x x x
